As we come up on a year of Birthing Beyond the Binary, we’re moving into a follow through and integration phase. Last week we had a strategic planning meeting, and took stock of what we’ve accomplished and where we’re headed.

Last summer, as Kori was growing their baby, Amanda and Elsa were dreaming up this organization. Since then, we have planned curriculum, developed our website, created public and private facebook groups, Kori gave birth to Searyl, we facilitated 6 webinars, Kori officially joined our organization, and we built extensive resource list and began care provider listings. We feel so grateful to have spent hours of wonderful time on video conference with beautiful people in Canada, US, Europe and Australia.

Where we live, it is getting warm and sunny! And as seeds go in the ground for the winter, workshops go in the ground for the summer, because community educators gotta go the beach. We will return in the fall with childbirth education and more care provider professional development workshops! We will also be expanding our consulting services to work with organizations and healthcare practices, offering more private sessions, and expanding our resource database and care provider listing network. And we’re dreaming big and planting the seeds for an in-person gathering! Sign up for our newsletter to receive the latest news and updates.

To kick off our summer we are partnering with Doula Trainings International and filmmaker Cyn Lubow to offer an online screening of A Womb of Their Own on June 9-11. Join us for a Q&A on June 11 at 3pm PDT with Cyn Lubow and moderated by Kori!
